You should be so lucky to buy diesel at $4.00 or less.
In the UK we pay £4.20 Sterling (Over $8.00) for a US gallon.
Damned expensive with a Dodge Cummings 3500 dually but I love the beast!!!!

No offense to the original poster, but you have a brand new 08 truck and you're complaining about fuel cost??

It isn't about gas or diesel it is just about how the price immediately pops our checkbooks and thus impact our families.

Gas isn't much better. I paid 3.49 for 89 two tanks ago, but only 1.89 the last tank. (Grocery store discount)

March 6 (Bloomberg) -- OPEC's decision to maintain production levels will lead to a bigger-than-average increase in oil inventories as demand weakens with the end of the Northern Hemisphere's winter, according to Dresdner Kleinwort.

So what are you implying I am some rich kid? FYI that brand new truck in my driveway was my trophy from 15 months in Iraq. Thanks. I make 35,000 a year. And I have a mortgage, and a wife, and utilities. How much do you make a year? What are you complaining about?

I feel the gas crunch too. Everybody does. Now oil is shooting way over $100 and there's no stopping it. Of course it hurts all of us. However, I can't complain because when I got my truck gas was $1 but with the payment and insurance and repairs/maintenance the cost of ownership was about $500 a month. Now it costs only about $200 a month to operate completely including gas and insurance; all because of no payment, lower insurance and the fact these pickups last a long time.
