Default Lift!!! finally..

Well, I have had my 6" lift sittin in my living room for what seems like probably 2 months or so.I finally put it on last weekend. I did the rear of the truck on friday after work before it got dark and then did the front all day saturday and then a couple hours on sunday finishing up. It took forever, but I feel good knowing that I was able to do it myself. I think most of what took so long was the poor work conditions. I was working with complete hand tools (except the hacksaw and cordless drill),I didn't have a pneumatic or electricimpact. I obviously didn't have a lift, and I only had 1 floor jack, 1 broke floor jack , and1 scissor jack, and 3 jack stands. Also I preformed the surgery in my driveway, which is rock, so that means i couldn't even use a creeper board. I think it took probably a good 12-14 hrs, but it was worth the effort, the truck looks great!!

Here is the dilema... What size tires?? I realy want the toyo open coutry 37x13.50r17's, but I also don't want something so big that it rubs all the time. I think if I am really careful with the wheels I pick, i should be able to make the toyos work without rubbing?... but I'm not sure. I am considering getting 35's so they don't rub, but I'm am worried that they will just not be what I really want... any suggestions?

I had the same debate on my truck and opted for the 37's....glad as hell I did. 35's would have left me wanting more. Made that mistake on my last truck, not this time though....although I am looking at a bigger lift to get some 38's or maybe 40's once my toyos are done for...we'll see though

Savage, I have a 6" on my 3500 and I can't say enough about the Toyo M/T's. I've got them in 37x13.50R20's. The ride is good, the noise is well balanced considering the aggressive design, and I could absolutely NOT get stuck with them in the mud. I only get minor rubbing with the wheel cranked all the way in either direction. I love them!

Hey Guys, Sorry but I have to ask....................are these suspension lifts or body lifts we're talking about. Had a 3" body lift on my past gasser truck. Working a suspension lift obviously would be alot more detailed in parts and installing. Just wonderng..........

Suspension kits. The kit replaces the front coil and control arms.

I have a 07 2500 with a 6 inch superlift and 37 inch swampers on it. The lift took about 10 hours to install. The tires just barely rub in a full turn but nothing that causes any problems.
