also did the number crunch thing on propane injection for the diesel truck. I think I would have to drive it 240,000 miles before the savings in fuel paid for the cost of the equipment. I'm sure that now since diesel is $4 a gallon it will only take 100,000 miles.
How does propane injection help your MPG's Bob?

It is supposed to burn all of your fuel instead of the 80% or so they say only gets burned.

Didn't they do a big test on this in Diesel World or Diesel Power a few months back? I think it came out to taking 100,000 mile to pay for itself at current pricing. Plus you had to haul a big tank around in your bed. I think they said it was good for lowering your egt's though.

It came up on a thread here about a year or so ago. If you are buying it for performance reasons, then go for it. If you are buying it to save money on gas you are wasting your time. Yes you have to mess with fillin gup a propane tank too. It all depends on the price of propane as to how much money it saves you. In the winter you don't save much because propane is high, in the summer when propane is low, you can save a few cents a gallon.

Thanks for the heads up guy's. As you know, I'm not really into speed, but when you start talking about better MPG's, my ears perk up pretty high.
