Put some kind of cover over that hole. I have read that the wires get gone next from being exposed to the sunlight. Also I think there is a bunch of people with this issue banding together to get Dodge to step up to the plate and fix this issue. You might want to do a search.

I got the new dash cover today but the color doesn't quite match. I'm going to see about getting some matching paint for the interior tomorrow.

How can a black dashboard cover not match a black dash?

The dash is gray. I ordered the gray dash cover but it is a lite gray. I don't think the black would have looked good because everything else on the interior is gray.

Gotcha. I thought your stock dash was black.

When I ordered my Autometer pillar, I also ordered the primer, and I got the gray paint from the dealer. I was really nervous because I thought it wasn't going to match, but it matched perfectly. Maybe you should check that out? I'll admit though that even though it matches, I don't know if I'd feel comfortable on an entire dash though. It dries and it's tuff, but not as strong as the stock unpainted stuff, you know what I mean? I'm definately a little more cautious with the gauge pillar than I am with the other side ( stock side )
