Lets see if it will actually let me edit my post now...goofy system was all buggy last night.
What I was going to say was....
A guy from a local club couldn't pass so he borrowed his buddies dog to leave in the cab. That way the state guys wouldn't want to run the truck for the test and he could keep the smoke down![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Other guys put a block under the carpet to keep them from dropping the hammer ![Wink](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Just a thought.
You still got your stock injectors?

Here you go don't know how much they cost, but we had installed on all of our fire apparatus. One of them is a 2500 dmax diesel. Its compressor driven and works when you start the truck and no smoke. The compressor shuts a valve mounted on the exhaust and runs it through a particulate filter system and after a certain amount of time switches back to the regular exhaust. Basically for us it prevents the bad stuff from filling the firehouse. Im pretty sure you can adjust the time for how long it first cycles. Hopefully enough time to do your smoke test.

Do to the age of your truck Im not sure if this applies. In washington you can get a waiver if you fail. Course you have to meet the criteria
If Your Car Fails If your vehicle fails its emissions inspection, you will be required to have the vehicle repaired to bring it into compliance. However, there's a limit to how much money you have to spend on this. If you've spent more than $150 on repairs and you car still fails a retest, you might be eligible for a repair waiver. Repair Waiver Qualifications Your car can qualify for a waiver if:[*]You spent $150 or more on emission-related repairs done by an authorized emission specialist.[/ul][*]You can provide the test station manager with the repair receipts signed by an authorized emission specialist.[/ul][*]It's proven that none of your vehicle's emission-related equipment has been altered.[/ul][*]Your vehicle flunks a second emission test after repairs.[/ul] The waiver allows you to still register your vehicle for the upcoming year.

With your mods, the only way that you are gonna reduce the smoke is A - Bigger or twin turbo, B - Nitrous, C - Water Injection.
Too much fuel, not enough air, too high EGT`s.
Not trying to sound rude, but sorry, that's the deal. Making smoke is the easy part, making clean power is another animal.
