so I was down at the river and there were two dodges that almost made me cream my pants. One was a good ol 2nd gen with a 8" susp and 3" body and of course stacks. Anyways a buddy of mine was talking up duramax and I know nothing about them. Just wanted to be able to shut him up next time.

I liked tchevy before that huge bowtie grill and now they're getting better but after living in San antonio and seeing rodriguez or hernandez written in old English on the back of half the tchevy cabs I just can't ever see driving one.

 

I cater to all brands and lemme tell ya, the ONLY thing wrong with a Duramax is that its an Isuzu designed engine. They provide GREAT economy numbers, excellent horsepower potential, and are fairly cheap to own and operate.

 

Fuel filter is a 2 hour hassel to change. Havent really worked on too many. Not really fond of aluminum heads on a cast iron block.

 

have the durmax ever hit 1000000 miles wiht no major malfunctions or rebuilds?

why do they put cummins in the 5500 and up series trucks at Chevy??

The biggest, most obvious reason is because it is a V8 design. How many big rigs do you see with a V8 diesel?

 

here is my understanding. duramax is for racing, cummins is for towing or hauling, ford is for laughing at.
