i dont run any of it... not even when i was in 30- weather, i run a filter head and filter, in-line, mounted on the frame, from summit, that is rated at 2 micron with a water seperator, perma-cool is the brand, and it is alot eaiser to get too than the stock filter, and i completly bypassed the filter on the engine, also i believe the stock filter is rated at 10 micron, the 20 micron filters are normally used on industrial engines as a pre filter with a secondary filter rated at less than 10 micron...

yeah well i am doing the wvo and diesel and all though i built my filtering system to filter down to 10 micron i want a 10 mic.or less for my primery filter. i installed an in line heater for the wvo,, and it is working well, just want some extra filtering to get down to less then than 10 mic.

i was never able to find a lower micron fuel filter for the stock filter head, i tried everything i could think of, i burn a lot of trash, wmo, who, wvo, and more, but the perma-cool was the best option, if starting cold is the issue, a small tank for #2 is the best bet, a valve for switching to #2 a few minuets before shut down, and start on it on #2, then switch back to the main tank, and cruise...

cold starts are not a problem, just acts like it not getting enough fuel till it gets warmed up, but the inline heater fixed that.and i made that 10 micron stainless filter screen thingy (for sale in the for sale classiied section),and i get it to 10 mic. with that and strainers. u have the new style truck and they sat u need to get to 2 mic. - i have the old "trash" pump and it only requires the fs1232 micro. 20 -or- 10 micro. whatever it is, just thought id get it lower, but oh well i guess it is good enough

it needs to be after the filter, before the injection pump, the way i normally do it is to remove the bleed plug on the out line of the filter, drill and tap it for 1/8 NPT, always worked perfect
