I hand calculate my mpg, and run 20-20.5 mpg. Really the truck is stock other than the edge programmer.
1. no Edge juice with attidude
2. I want to say Bd fuel additive. twice a month
3. auto
4. 3.73

I have a 98.5, 4 door, long bed, auto tranny that averages about 14 mpg. I have an Edge EZ that have run in the economy setting as well as the highest setting. I feel a power difference, but it doesn't seem to change the mpg. I also use Lucas injector cleaner with each fill up. My tires are properly inflated and so on. I would like to be getting better mileage, but am not sure why I am not. I drive very efficiently as well. Rarely over 70 and I don't gun it off the line. If anybody has any ideas, let me know.

I recently drove from my home in Northern British Columbia to visit Family in Kansas & Illinois and I pulled a 19 foot travel trailer loaded, and at 65 I averaged 11.5 mpg. Running empty w/o the trailer at 65 I average between 18 to 21 mpg. BTW all numbers are hand calculated, none of this lye o meter garbage!

Default re: mileage

I have a 2007 Megacab, Cummins, 5.9, stock engine, no chip, 37" mud terrain, 22" wheels, 8" lift. I get really bad mileage with these tires. I don't run any fuel additives. My onboard computer said that I was getting 20 -22 mph on the highway before the lift & tires on the highway. Last week I drove empty to Salem Oregon, hand calculated the mileage at about 16.5 (accounting for the tire size and how far off the speedometer & odometer is off). The best I can dow around town is 13, being very careful on the pedal. I have a question about my gear ratios, I'm not sure what I have, whether it's 3.73, or 4.10. Any easy way to tell? I would like to gear it down, hopefully get some more mileage back and a little more torque... I'm open for suggestions and direction.

Any suggestions or insight is greatly appreciated.

Talking

'94 280,000 miles.
Bosch injector pump, per PO.
Big clutch, per PO

Other than that, she's stock as far as I know. She's all beat up too.

Blows about a gallon of oil per tank.

PS grey bottle, just kinda eyeballing it at 1/4th bottle per tank.

I need to be a bit more exact when measuring the PS, as I'm also switching to Drew's Brew 16/8, but right now I'm getting about 18-19 when I check it, though I thought I was getting around 25 when I first got her. Probably calc'd wrong.

Need to see if I can resurrect the heads-up, just for grins.
