who here cuts their dogs nails???
Working with there paws often helps. Also spend the extra money on a good set of clippers. The ones you get at Wally's tend to flex and cause more pain. You can get a good pair at a pet / farm supply store for about $20-25.
Still it usually takes two of us. One to calm (AKA hold) him down and the other to cut. Treats work great too.

We cut ours but we never know which one is going to be having a bad day until we try.. Since we have a small herd we usually work on a dog a week as doing them in rotation works out pretty well timing wise...

well, everything I tried didnt work. so I snipped one when he wasnt looking hahahahaha I did manage to get a 2nd one by keeping him calm. I tried laying on him but he's too squirmy to hold his legs still to do it right.
This is Capt. Hook...he is real layed back when we cut his nails.
Tell me he doesnt look "De Tad DEE" but I love him anyway [8D]

He has great coloring.
Steve05- take him to the vet and make them be the bad guys- the dog will love you for rescuing him. have the wife drop him off and you pick em' up! That what I do.
Merry Christmas
