Help!!! 04 diesel won't start, lift pump problem
Please help, my 04 dodge diesel will not start!. I have finally tracked it down to the lift pump in the fuel tank. The is no power to it, the plug that attaches to the pump itself has absolutely nothing.. However,I cannot find a fuse or relay. has anyone ever had this problem or does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

unless you've had the conversion the lift pump will be on the back of the fuel filter canister for your 04.
if it has dies I would suggest staying away from the dealer and getting yourself a fass or walbro kit. these two pumps are FAR superior to the stock carter pump.

My 04 died over the holiday"s, left me sittin on the road,FELT LIKE IT WAS OUT OF FUEL! Take the fuel filter cap off , If its empty its the lift pump. The only reason I let the dealer Fix mine is because it was under warranty and I didnt know about this web site or the FASS system Drew is talking about. The dealer put my pump in the tank. GOOD LUCK!!! (If u got the bucks, do what Drew said)

RE: Help!!! 04 diesel won't start, lift pump problem
Thank you both, however, my problem is no power to the lift pump, which is in the tank. If I power the lift pump manually with two jump wires, it does work, and it fills up the canister. The harness that plugs to the lift pump has absolutely no power, that is why the lift pump doesn't work, not that is bad. Does it have a fuse or relay anywhere, I cannot find one in the fuse box.

gotcha, I was under the idea the pump was dead.
I know there is a fuse, and as much as I hate to say it I dont know which one it is. the best thing I can say is to check the wireing from the pump to the power source and make sure it is not chaffed of has come unplugged.

Two of us for two days and nights have been checking everything with no success. Everything appears to be plugged in and all the fuses in the box are good!
Do any of the modules control the lift pump???? Maybe the Front control module that is attached to the side of the fuse box???
