"...i dont care its only like a 100 bucks every couple months.. so when my truck has 500,000 miles on it and its still crusin along il be thankful i spent that money..
"

$100 sounds like a lot. I get gallon jugs of Rotella T for $9.99 and stratopore filters from Genos for like $11, so it costs me a little over $40 to change my oil. Even one of those oil change places surely doesn't charge $100.I have never let anybody else change my oil since i started driving, so maybe that is the going rate. What does it cost everybody to change their oil?? do it yourself or not??

well i do my own oil changes i was just questimating... well the last one was prolly about 100 bucks cuz i bought my fuel filter from the dodge dealer and they tore me a new one!!!! like 40 bucks so prolly close to 100 i get my valvoline premium blue by the 5 gallon bucket directly from valvoline since my dealership uses vavoline oil.. so i just have them throw it on there weekly order... i think the 5 gallons was like 45 50 dollars.. but every oil change i do alot of things... every oil change i clean and lube all my rubber door seals. lube the driveshaft. spray all rubber bushings with this stuff called polylube if you canget it buy it cuz its awsome stuff... rotate tires air pressures degrease and power wash the underside and engine.. .lube all door hindges and hood hindges locks all that jazz lube the cable on the spare.. my dads astro van he never did so and after 10 years he finally got a flat and ya couldent get the spare off.. and also in thw winter i spray wd40 on as much of the under body as i can also spray it in all body plugs i can... salt bad and chicago uses ALOT of salt

If the whole nipple thing hanging down is make people nervous, you can always go this route:

and add the little hose:

Rocket John, yeah, you can order that same valve either with or without the nipple from Geno's. I ordered it WITH the nipple because I think it'll be easier.

Slug, I actually have one of those and if anyone is interrested, I'll sell it to ya. There's nothing wrong with it. It used to be on my truck when my dad owned it, but he took it with him to use on his new ram. What he didn't know was that it is too big for his ram, so he gave it back to me. Since I already have the lever type, I won't be using it.

Anyone interrested? It's the larger size.
