Default BLOWN 6.0

My haulin buddy blew his 2004 6.0 ford the other day at 107,000 miles and had it towed to thestealership. They told him he was out of luck cause the warranty was out on the truck. He questioned them about the 6.0 troubles any they said the only trouble their having with the 6.0 is POOR MAINTENANCE from the owners and driving habits. Lying BAST%$#@. Hes gonna have to eat an engine and turbo rebuild to the tone of several thousand dollars. Ford is gonna lose all their truck customers over the 6.0 and it servers em right.

I have a buddy that has a 2006 F450 with a 6.0 in it. At 8k miles on the odometer it blew a head gasket, all of the injectors have been replaced at least once, not to mention all of the other headaches he has had with it. He has had it less than a year and it has been at the stealership being worked on for over 188 days as of last weekend. I also learned from him that the 450's and up don't qualify under the lemon law for some reason so he is screwed.

Yeah....Ford is trying to sue Navistar.....Navistar is trying to sue Ford......Federal judge ordered Navistar to resume shipping 6.4's to Ford, even after Ford refused to pay them for the ones they already have.....etc, etc, etc.

Sounds like a great time to buy a new 6.4 doesn't it......I can only imagine the quality that is going in to those engines.

I can see quite a few of them being shipped missing some compression rings, the head stud torque being off a few pounds, oh and dont forget about the injector tips that were dropped on the floor infront of the zamboni cleaning up after a shift.

The really sad part of it is , my buddy now has a truck that is halfway paid for , out of warranty blown who nows what under the hood. He cant sell it or trade it like it is. And like myself that truck is how he makes his living, Hes going to a lawyer this week, but thats gonna be a tough case against a giant like Ford. If Navistar could not get the ruling from the court neither will the little guy.

It is just disgusting how Ford is handling this whole thing. Ford has always believed that the customer is the best place to do development test. I can remember my parents buying a 1988 Mercury Sable with a 3.8. OMG what a POS. From that point on I knew I would never buy a Ford.
