Default 1987 Ram 250 Van, driver window not working

Driver power window not working, motor not making any noise. Wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram available? So i can see if the switch is getting power.

thanks in advance!

It's simpler to start at the motor connector. If there's power at the motor connector (polarity reverses between pressing up and down) when pressing the switch then the motor is bad. If there's no power at the connector in one or both directions then start tracing. Also, if there's power in one direction but not the other it a 99% possibility the switch is the issue.

Just tested it, power is getting to the motor, but the motor is not doing a thing. I saw a youtube video of someone rebuilding the motor and replacing the gear inside but this thing is not even making any noise whatsoever. Is it safe to assume that I just need to bite the bullet and buy a new motor from rockauto? Thanks again for all the input. That mitchell ondemand link was great thank you!

Yeah, replace the motor.

I might put a test light across the connector pins (harness side) and work the switch, just to make sure both sides of the circuit are working properly. If you have power, but no ground, the motor won't do anything. That said though, if the motor is original, it lasted a good long time.

Are you get power at the motor connector when pressing both up and down? Does the polarity reverse at the motor connector when you push the switch up verse down?

Motor is bad, a new one should cost $40-45 with shipping and tax.
