That sounds like a good idea. However, I'm in California. It's a misdemeanor to even SAY mineral spirits in public here.

I'm thrilled to say that no intake bolts broke removing the intake.

And the harmonic damper wasn't even worn where the seal rides on it, so I didn't even need to use the sleeve that Felpro provided in their kit.

The van is at 100,000 miles (almost exactly).
The timing chain had 5/8 inch of deflection. The new double roller I bought from Hughes has 3/8 inch deflection.
I forgot to take a pic of the new chain, but boy it was pretty! Haha!

A little water pump **** for you.
The original pump looks and feels like new, but I’ve replaced it with another OEM Mopar pump so I figure this one will last the life of the van. Especially that the coolant was probably never changed in the past 25 years.

The injectors look disgusting. I bought new O-rings and an inexpensive kit to test/clean the spray nozzles. I’m very curious to see how they spray.

One of the side brackets on the radiator had broken its solder joint loose. Also, the core looked looked really full of crud. I never had any cooling problems at all, but, since the radiator was already out., I decided to take it to a local radiator shop who charged me $110 to unsolder the top, clean the core and solder everything back together. I was considering buying a three row aluminum radiator, but this one was already doing an excellent job so…

The radiator cap is worn out. (The return spring on the coolant siphon valve is shot)

I decided to take advantage of the intake being off and had a look at the carbon buildup on the valves with a borescope. I don’t know about you, but I expected to see a lot more carbon than that. I’m not even tempted to clean them. OK, well, if I’m honest about it, I AM tempted, but I’m not going to. Haha!
