Update:

When I was taking off the triangle bracket for the compressor, the bolt broke off in the hole. Then while trying to get it out, the mounting hole cracked...then I tried to fix it...while trying to drill it out..I slipped...and screwed it up

I went to the boneyard and found a Durango with a 360. I pulled the intake and it looks exactly the same. I got it for $40 - with injectors...
I have it back here now and everything lines up...but the part number is different. BUT the injectors are very different (so I will have to swap those)...Nothing else is as far as I can tell.

So it should work - right?

Yep. The intakes changed over the years, early ones supported EGR, later still had the center divider, but, lost the EGR stuff, still later ones lost the center divider altogether.

awesome...after some Foamy engine brite all over the intake and swapping the injectors over, along with the two sensors...then Ill be ready to put this back together once i get my lifters this Friday.

Question - can I soak the intake in CLR too?

Yes, the wrong injectors will flow the wrong amount of fuel, causing either a rich or lean condition.

Oh my FFFFFF God - what is it with the gaskets that were on this intake I pulled from the boneyard...
I could not scrub them off...scotch brite pads were too tiring and almost usless...
I ended up having to use my sander...it worked great

So I finally got the Durango intake refurbed and swapped my sensors and injectors on...tomorrow is lifter day! Cant wait to put it back together....

I want to put a 180-185 thremo in it...which one would be better...195 is way too hot for south Florida...

What year is your van? The later years were very picky about their thermostat. If the engine didn't get up to the temp that was expected, it would set a code.

the motor is a 2000...

I have to try - my intake temps in the summer are 150+++ wayyyy too hot. I get almost no timing advance at the temp...the onyl thing other than the thermostat that could help is a smaller, lower profile intake so there is more airflow around the motor ??? Maybe?

An Airgap manifold would help, but, not sure just how much..... and they ain't cheap. Not sure it would be worth what you would have to spend to install it.

Ceramic coat the coolant passage on the manifold would help those temps. Of course it doesn't help that the temp sensor is in the manifold rather than the air intake. It's always going to read alot higher.
