i just had a thought...so there are no threads in the mainfold hole? Correct? So the others are all coming out...i should be able to pry it off then...sort of slide off??? right?
As long as there is room to side it off you can do so. If not, then slide it off as far as you can and use a sawzall to cut the bolt near the manifold. That way you leave enough at the head to grab it with vise grips.

what a freakin B....I was able to get the mainfold off far enough to use a hacksaw then I was able to get the manifold off.
After 50 sprays of PB and torching it for 8 minutes, 4 times - it finally broke free...it took me almost 4 hours to get out...
the manifold gaskets - both of them - were totally rusted out.
EDIT and I wanted to say, look how much it bent - it was really stuck in there
Is any of it sticking out of the block once the head is out of the way?
yea - see above
ya know - the lifters barely come out--but they did.
Now to put it back together tomorrow---maybe Ill be cruising Marco with the van tomorrow (cheeers)
I cant tell which one was bad...but most all of them - when I held the roller part up to my ear and spun the wheel, the bearings were clicking. Glad I am doing all of them.
Intresting note---If you use the Durango intake, not only do you need to swap the injectors and sensors...but you also need to modify the thermostat housing..the little tab in the back doesnt line up...weird...I had to bend it just a little bit to make it fit
Im not sure why I had to do that...they are identical..
