My wife's 2005 Sprinter went into limp mode (2 & R only) and is showing a p0715 code (Input/Turbine speed sensor A Circuit malfunction). Since the speed sensor appears to be on a control block on top of the valve body, I'm trying to make sure It's truly a bad sensor before I go through the effort of opening up the transmission to replace it. Oh yea, that and the $200 in parts and $170 in fluid.
Has anyone completed this project themselves that could share some experiences, or have any recommendation on how to verify that the speed sensor(s) are actually at fault, and not just a wiring connector for example?
I'd appreciate it.
Yes i have replace them on the dodge charger with the same transmission. And it did fix the problem. But you could also have a wiring problem too. If you need the pdf file for testing, let me know.
