If you are getting rhythmic sweeps, that does indicate no issues with the ECU. It's odd though, the CEL shouldn't come on unless there is problem...at least that is my understanding of it. Is the CEL on all the time or just when the car dies?

From Stealth316.com

If there is not a code displayed, the ECU itself may be faulty.
That is a common issue with the first gen stealths...

Well, if you would explain in as much detail as possible, the problems you are having, maybe we can help you figure out where the problem lies.

Pull your ecu out, open it up, and check the capacitors. I'll bet you they're leaking.

ok doesnt matter when i start it fr the first time that day but the very first start runs good but i move cars alot before i start working on them so i have to shut it off to move other cars so when i get back in it to start it i have to be on the gas to keep it running cause it will idle under 500 and the check engine light is on but im not getting any codes but it will run like that until the next cold start or if the car gets about 45 which i never had it over 5 mph in my yard cause its not reg yet
