i dont have any money to send it to someone and my buddy has been building his own stuff for his car for a few years so i trust him on it cause if i have to send it out it will be about 3 months before i can and i need it like next week

ok replaced the cap and still runs like crap but the cel did go out then came back on 5 mins later

Have tried to pull any codes from the ECU since the light came back on?

There are 3 capacitors on the ECU that go bad. Sometimes there being bad is obvious, other times not so much. The electrolyte that leaks out onto the board can also cause problems.

You can't just replace the caps. You need to clean the board. And depending on how badly it was damaged, you may not be able to fix it.

well my buddy is good with the stuff and mine only had one cap on it and he replace it and a few things on it but it was 10 pm when i was able to run it so im going to check the codes today if there is any if not might sell the guy the car back

there is no codes i got a bad drain some where and it wont even idle on the first start like it use too and the cap is still good and he even hooked it up to his own thing and said it was good so i know my ecu is good

did he clean the board properly? Care to post a picture of your ecu board?

Because I'll tell you right now, that ECU is still your problem.

yes he spent like 45 mins cleaning it i can in like 20 mins

ya i think im done with the car he told me it just needed to be put back together and its like my truck got to spend a lot of money to fix it
