2000 stratus fuel filter question
Hello. Hate to be a pest. But my questions might help someone else later.
I removed the filter, not much of a job. Jacked car up about 15" and dropped driver side gas tank band and partially loosened the passenger side strap. Driver side strap has to be completely removed to free the filter.
Ok gas filter has three hoses. Two go to the pump and third goes not sure where. So that is my question.
If I blow on either of the hoses that attach to the pump I find one blow freely to the mysterious third nipple on filter. Blowing on the second hose that goes to the pump meets significant resistance. I tried googling the operation of the fuel filter but all I came up with is that this 2000 stratus does not have a return line like many fuel injected systems.
So can you tell me if one is supposed to blow freely while the other doesnt? And a brief explanation of the operation of the filter might be enlightening to me and others.
Thanks

Turns out that the fuel line has a check valve by the rail. Line was clear when I pushed on the check valve.
After changing dist, crank sensor, throtle sensor, fuel filter, it turns out it was the pump, even though it was still running.
Upon inspection after removing pump from tank, I saw charred wires with plastic melted off and the 4 pin harness half melted away. I will attached photo of this W&&** pump that I removed.
