Replace the output sensor and check the two wires going into the connector. The wires
have been a problem too. If the wire or wires have a break, there is a repair kit.

The wire breaks inside the connector. Just pull on the wires and see if it pulls out of the connector. The A/C shouldn't have anything to do with the output sensor.

wires at connector are good no broken wires sensor is new just replaced pcm could it be caused by shift solenoid has large multi pin connector that goes into it just cant figure this one out drives and shifts fine just when at a stop rpms go up a little speedo go up to about 20mph trans bumps and then speedo fluctuates around 10mph till starting to accelerate then everything goes normal only at a stop and only bumps one time per stop

Unless you have an internal problem inside the transmission. I don't believe you have a PCM problem.

Default found it

ok finally figured it out its crazy forgot techs #1 rule KISS found vacuum leak at pcv valve elbow which was causing idle to be high and surge with ac on causing i guess erratic output shaft speeds making tcm telling pcm that car was going conflicting with speed sensor causing trans to try to shift causing the bump amazing how something so simple could be so confusing lol bought elbow for 10 bucks resulting in normal operation so FYI for anyone having the symptoms i had look for vacuum leak

Smile That PCV leak tip worked for me also!

Just before I started getting serious about diagnosing the 2004 Stratus in "Limp" mode and thinking I had a huge transmission issue to deal with, I checked Hrleybob's tip to check the PCV valve elbow on the top of the engine. It looked fine, but when I took it off to check for cracks the entire elbow disintegrated! I replaced it with a 3 inch reinforced hose and clamps, disconnected the battery for 30 minutes instead of the usual 5 minutes to clear the code/"Limp" mode, then reconnected, re-started and let the engine "Re-Learn". Worked like a champ! Thank you Hrleybob! Happy Holidays!
