2003 Rams - The Forgotten Club
I'm back from the west coast and I'll be able to check to see what version the dealer installed in my PCM. I'm thinking the Dealer has my versions messed up. As the SC folks have discribed how the serial numbers go. The number being something like a series of numbers with a suffic attached. 123456789AB the next version would be 123456789AC. I'll check to see what I have a little later. But I am being told I need at least version 56028769AG or better to run the SC3865.
Update: Ok this is working out now that SC is playing games with the numbers. My version is the number the scanner came up with before. 56028769AF is what my truck has installed and of course SC says I need at least 56028769AG. Now, the question that comes to my mind is "how" was I able to install the SC3865 last year with possibly even a older version installed, when I'm being told now that SC won't recognize the older versions. I smell Bull ****...... I have had the truck's PCM updated last month and then checked and it has the latest available version. Now what???

I Dunno Greg! When I Traded up they said sorry can't support your mods and I said OK but I'll take one (SC3865) anyways, so does that mean Don't Ask us to Help you if things go Wrong?
Jake7. Glad to Hear your Noise is Gone. A good pressure washer is a must if you go off roadin!

Hey all,
Also checking in, I'm on the other side of the pond now. But the day before I left I got a call from SC telling me I had a new file update waiting for me to try from the engineers. Well same old ****, need new factory update to a newer version for the PCM. Like I have said I ran a SC last year on a older version than what I currently have and now I'm being told I need I need a newer one to run the tuner. The dealer told me when they did the update the suffic letters didn't update, these letters indicate the version. So that is part of the problem, of course the dealer threw that back on Diablo having locked the PCM in some way. When I get back I'll go to another dealer and have them update the PCM. We will see....
