Ha, Ha, Moes, I got over $3K in my wish basket, I figure the deeper PML trans pan with the sensor hole option, a trans temp guage and the 2 pillar post (have a coolant temp guage already) will be needed to do my torque converter job but never really gave the cooler a real thought but from what you guys are saying on DF threads I may as well do it all from the get go.

Welcome to new members. Now we got 2 Patriot Blue 03's with matching Toppers, but I think mine has more scratches and dings!
Nice ride. yeah the brown truck spends a lot of time at my place. lol The question I had for Bob is will the SRT gage pillar fit my RAM 1500. I want to keep the hand grip. I have no chance of getting the temp gage sender by Monday. But I am hoping I can get a OEM cooler inatalled. I'll have to drop the pan later to get a sender bung installed. No big deal. Depending on your ride hieght, the aluminum pan works or not. A deep pan can be a problem especially if it is aluminum. The aluminum will crack and break if you smack it on something. The stamped steel pan may well crease or dent and let you get home. Hello and welcome to all the new 03 folks.

Greg, Agreed, but in my case I ride higher but that raises a good question. I seen some 4x4 1500's that appear to have some kind of skid plate hanging underneath which I assume maybe for the transfer case and tranny? Never seen one on an 03 though. Does anyone now for sure if perhaps its an 04-05 model thing?

Well long winded again, but I have every Friday Off and today want to do the MAP sensor Mod I spoke of earlier and install my powerwire. Although folks say you can hook up to either wire, I figured I'd use the PCM to IAT power wire as it already has the male-female disconnect plugs in it as I was running a Nextlevel performance g-box when I was new at this (sold it to a guy with a 4.7) and that wire is what they recommended.

Been waiting on my e-fan still now for over 2 weeks, Bob at Moes told me earlier in the week that it should ship Weds-Thurs.

Sorry bought long post but we still got remnants of snow Blizzard from 2 days ago and wondering if it will warm enough to do a job or two in the driveway this weekend.

Might try the DIY for painting inside the Headlamp assy's. And I have my 1500 tow hook assy I got from an 02 (2wd) installed last year and want to remove it for repaint from black to silver, add Stainless steel bolts (Paid $23 for those) and then manufacture two more pieces of diamond plate to go behind hooks in the opening where that dumb looking black plastic piece used to be. I will post before and after pics of that job as I think it will look real good.

Could it be someone replaced the square piece with the rounded piece?

No,I wish it was that easy of a fix. The sheet metal is a tad wider with a rounder edge on the 02, and with 03 onwards, the sheet metal is a tad thinner at the bottum and squared off. The window seals are fit up against those formed edges, hence the extra funny looking corner rubber.

I also know the 02 had the SLT or Sport Badges located on that area of the rear door and in 03 they got moved to the tailgate on the R/H side alone or below 4x4, maybe thats why in 02 they wanted that part of the door wider. Anyhow the 02 door is goofy and outaplace and since I'm debadged now I don't want anyone mistaking me as a guy with an 02 model running a 5.9L engine (no offence).

not sure if the 03's came from the factory with the skid plate, but i've got one on mine that came with the lift. its 1/4" steel and weighs about 25 lbs. just covers the underside of the front diff and oil pan

I lost the post giving me this information, but it came from Truckin151. The P/N for an 03-04 Trans Cooler, copper, 26 row HD cooler from a 2500 is p/n 52029089AB. The dealer will try to subsitute an newer number for a later model that is aluminum. It'll be a special order item. About $150. Bob from Moe's called me and suggested that I buy the AirForce Interceptor gage instead of just a temp gage. http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=9189
Actually this makes good sense as I would have had to drop the pan again and weld a sensor bung onto the pan and replace the fluid and run the wiring. And when finished all I would have accomplished would be having a nice trans temp gage. On the other hand using the Interceptor gage I have much more and the end cost pretty much the same. Plus it has plug-in wiring. This is a nice gage if it works as advertised....

buy the Interceptor gauge, you'll love it. It's pricey when you add in the A/f option but the gauge monitors everything you need so conveniently. Well worth it in my opinion, I love mine and highly recommend it. I'd also recommend getting the SRT10 A-pillar as well.

Here's a small list of the many options you can choose to monitor.

Actually you don't have to weld in the bung into the pan. There's already a test port on the side of the tranny you use. It provides more accurate readings also. The AI is nice, but way expensive.
