Good info AF, but was wondering how the Interceptor would pick up the trans Temp outta thin Air, so it must use the test port you speak of ? and if thats the case when I order the PML Pan will I need the machined sensor option or do we hook up there too.

There is a sensor in the wiring harness for. that. Typically its only used to let you know when the tranny gets too hot (trans temp light on dash). The AI taps into the PCM and finds that signal to allow you to monitor the temp all the time (through the obd port)

New MAP sensor (with dealer instructed Intake Trimmed) and DIY Power Wire installed yesterday. Front Tow Hook revamp almost complete, Today I will re-assemble and will post Pics on 3rd Gen Forum later. Got one camera where the charger is missing (Damn Teenagers) so I used the Wifes phone but now no USB cord so its out to the driveway for me to take off Ice Tires and put her mags on the PT Cruiser!

Default Mileage

I think everyone is going to like this. I just got home from a road trip. So the majority of the miles were highway but I also did about fifty dreaded stop and go city miles. and the mileage came out 16 mpg even. The latest changes have been 4:10 gear, torque converter and ported TB. Got big gains with the mods except for the TB. Still playing with that. I am very happy that I haven't taken the big hit I thought I might with a 2800 rpm converter. Also the eFan did great in the traffic. No worries....

Request sent..... Did you know that the '03 trucks have one more dash vent than all the newer models? Ya, we rock.

One thing I would like to add is a list of all the revisions made during the '03 model year as this can help some guys with troubleshooting.

1. early '03 Hemi used JTEC controller (3 plug), newer '03 used NGC (4 plug, with much better aftermarket support)
2. '03 used 2nd controller for transmission making the TMR mod possible
3. valve springs were replaced half way through (I believe green paint are the better, yellow = bad)
4. early built brake calipers would stick and overheat, warping the rotors
5. weather stripping was changed
6. early '03s had problem with mirrors falling off the doors, even sitting at the dealerships

Add more if you know any. This is all I can remember right now.

Does your truck display any weird symptoms since the 4:10 and converter install? Since putting in my 4:10 gears years ago my truck has problems under hard deceleration. Normally, the truck should go under fuel cut-off (AFR = 20.0) and the converter stays locked to provide good fuel economy and some engine braking on long hills. It seems mine stays right on the limit and the converter / fuel with kick in and out continuously until I fall below the minimum speed which is around 35-40 mph. It did this with just the gears and before the converter install and all my turbo and other aftermarket parts. I believe the dealer has a reflash for a gear change which hopefully can cure this. (gears do not affect the speedo readout)

LOL, No I didn't know any of these things, I'm pretty isolated, stuck out in the sticks of South Central Virginia. Although there are two excellent speed shops in the area.

No, mine runs as it has always run with good shifts going up and down. The converter locks up a tad earlier but drops out cleanly when accelerating. Usually I disengage th OD when passing or blasting around town or playing on the back roads. With the higher stall the engine spins up more leaving from lights, but not unreasonably. But it isn't subtle when you lean on it. Everyone close by knows you are leaving in a hurry. Great fun.
Welcome aboard....
