Thank you. The wife & I stumbled across it on a lot while looking at another truck. With less than 70k miles on the clock and well below blue book I couldn't pass it up. Truth be told, I didn't think the wife would agree with the 8.0 dually combo, but she was the one trying to convince me. Turns out she has a thing for 2nd gen Rams. One would think that after 25 years together she might have mentioned it sooner.

Never underestimate a woman who likes Dodges.
(says she who grew up loving them, from the '65 slant six three speed bought for $75 as a first car to the $3K '94 V-10 I'm driving now.) I've been been driving Rams since '85.

Her dad retired from Twinsburg Stamping and only drove company products. For me it's either Dodge or Ford. If I can't get either I'll just do without.

I'm pickier than you. The one Ford I had mostly endeared itself to me by getting me $600 when I sold it (after a year,
at a $400 profit). I'm a Mopar girl. Dad worked for Chrysler for 48 years.

Those were the only brands my grandpa would own. Considering he died when I was very young, I'm not sure how I ended up inheriting those characteristics.

As long as we ignore that he was my mom's stepdad, that'll work.

On the 99, you want the 47 or 48 RE. 96-99 will work right out of the box, 2000-02 will work if you change the electronics in the trans. Is rebuilding your a viable option?
