In my 2000 dodge neon not a big challenge but i have taken a 97 civic si ford probe a auto v6 stang and a 05 pt cruiser.

 

What year Legacy GT did you race? Automatic? I own one and it will beat my stage 1 SRT4. (it's an 05 manual trans, slight mods.)

05 on the highway,no mods, its my cousins. he can beat me in the quarter like no tomorrow but once we get over 115-120 mph i start pulling away. i was maybe 1 1/2 carlengths ahead at 140. most of those i listed were on the highway comming home from school, nothing on track

 

That sounds about right. My car is a five sped and is redline limited to about 140mph. I wish I had a six speed!!!!!!!!!!

I can pull awesome 1320 times, but the MPH trap speed is not as good as the SRT4. I will do 13.3@102mph all day.

My SRT4 with stage 1 did 13.6@104. The mods I have done on the waste gate made the biggest improvement in roll on accleration. I can keep up with M3's no problem.....until 140mph.

The car needs a bigger turbo and some injectors to really kick ***. Since my wife is driving it, and she collects speeding tickets, I figuire its fast enough.

BUT, when it's paid for and becomes my main mode of transportation, that turbo is getting thrown in the can, along with the tiny intercooler.

 

There was no 97 civic si in America.

 

I own both, an 04 srt and an 06 evo mr, and the evo is faster. They are pretty evenly matched though. Granted the 06 got mivec which helps. The twin scroll turbo spools up faster than the dodge. But if you really want to see the differece between the two, take them out to a tight twisty road. The evo is just a better handling car. The evo comes alive after 3500 rpm, so if you don't launch right, and she dips below 3500rpm the srt will actually get a better launch. I like both cars and have great respect for both, and the srt just keeps impressing me. Its just a brute.

 

what are you guys and gals doing to keep the front down?
i raced my bro in his '04 lexus is300, and i caught him in 3rd, but he thinks that he had me and says he slowed down...whatever....ive got a good reaction time, but the front just bounces around...
i also took a porsche boxter...it said "rs racing" all over it, but man, that thing couldnt run at all!
