How do I Burnout?
could have been the clutch, but unless you rode it when doing the burn out i doubt it. is it slipping at all? when you burn the clutch like that it will usually slip a little after until the surface of the disk that was glazed is worn away.
Oh my God! I thought I was the only one sick enough to use the e-brake! If U want a good show, roll backwards 2 or 3 mph, rev it ......3k is sufficent, and let it rip. The P brake should be up before you start creeping forward, I usually end up dragging the back tires and swinging the *** end left and right.....with smoke billowing from the front wheels. PSI has a good point, let of the e-brake slowly. If you use first, you'll be banging off the rev limiter the whole time anyway! If I let my rpms drop below 4500, it starts to hop slightly, so I keep it between 5000-5500. Try a good launch after and see how good the car hooks up with HOT tires!!!

pull up your ebrake as far as it will go, put it in first and then dump the clutch and keep your rpm's around 4-5k. you should see a nice white could shortly after that.
one thing to remember when burning out, ALWAYS ROLL OUT OF IT. do not just drop the ebrake and hit the brakes, this is a sure way to break an axle.

Alright guys, i took your advice and did it last night...
I got up to about 3500rpm and then dropped the clutch and away my tires went, they hopped at first, but once i got the rpms to about 4500-5000, the just screamed...
It was really fun, and didnt get that burnt clutch smell that i discussed before....
Was a lot of fun, now I am going to have to control myself from doing it alot.
Anyways,
Thanks for the help, I am sure that I will have plenty more questions in the future
THanks
Andrew

Alright,
I have a question, it has nothing to do with burning out, but I have a GReddy catch can on the way, i think I am getting it on Thursday. I just wanted to make sure that I need to install it on the PCV valve side, and when I get CAI, i then put one on the other side? I am wondering if I can tie in a line on the other side to the OCC on the PCV valve side?
Thanks
Andrew

I'm not sure exactly what your asking. When you hook up the PCV line to your OCC, one line gose from the PCV to the OCC and then another line runs from the OCC to where the PCV line was hooked up to, your simply putting the OCC inline. You can hook it up at the PCV end, which most do, or you can hook it up at the intake manifold end, it will work exactly the same either way.
