is it true that you can only use unleaded premium in the srt-4?

if I remember the owners book -

you can run 87 octane, but don't expect any performance... the computer I believe "de-tunes" the car...

someone correct me if I am wrong...

You can run a lower grade in the car but he is right, don't expect the performance that you would usually get. The computer will adjust to accomadate the difference, but personally, for the 20 or 30 cent differnce and the fact that the tank is fairly small, I would just suck it up and buy premium. I am happy if I go to the gas station and spend less than a twenty.

Yeah, the recommended fuel for the SRT-4 is 91 octane. Lower octane fuel can be used, but it will severly affect the performance negatively.[sm=smiley5.gif]

You right, Cuz. The performance will not be at its peak....
Best to run 91 or higher... though i never wenr higher than 100 Oct
