Newb looking into car and modding
here's a thought... buy the car... drive it around... realize (and get used to) how fast it is in factory trim... then, when you have that under your belt, find out if you really need a 12 sec car... once that is established, build away... Stage 2 with an exhaust seems to be an easy way to get those angry ponies unleashed...
Try to stick with Mother Mopar parts for your upgrades whenever possible(like Stage 1 or 2, Mopar BOV, etc). The parts are generally better made and are made to fit your car. They're also usually cheaper....[sm=smiley16.gif]
Yep, Mopar Performance is usually the best way to go and the dealerships are less likely to hassle you when brought in for any warranty repairs.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I know of at least one SRT-4 that has Stage 1 and is running 12's and I've heard of more.

how does that work? i mean i undestand tuning the stock ecu but doesnt the stg 1 replace it ne ways!?! help i am confused! i could see it being done bc the car runs so rich i suppose...?
Yeah, the Stage 1 replaces the whole PCM with a new one that's reprogrammed. What exactly are you refering to when you say "tuning"? Tuning can mean alot of different things.
not really sure. i was talking to my friend at work(he also works at a dodge dealership and a performance parts store) and he told me he knew someone who could tune the car to run 12s. i raelly dont believe him just bc that seems insane...a whole second or so just off tuning!?!? but i read a lot about how rich the car runs so i think it may be possible. but after doing something like that i am curious as to how much future mods would affect it (ex. exhaust, intake..etc)
