I've been through present day Houston at all hours of the day and night, and the roads are always packed. I lived there in the 70's and it was nowhere near as bad. That's progress, I suppose...

The project car is in Sport Compact Car, and the exhaust mod was one of the first ones they did, they just haven't written about it yet, if anyone cares, and they put the S3 coilovers on it and claim a great improvement in handling (I don't remember exact #'s, but it was on the order of .89g stock and .94 or so w/ the coilovers, and 5 or 6 mph in the slalom, as well as giving the car a more 'confident' feel- also remember that their car is an '03, and doesn't have the quiafe (yet- they have one but haven't installed it), so the performance should be even better on the '04.

I think the major difference between the 03 and 04 is, the 04 has an LSD and a upgraded fuel injectors/ECU... Correct me if wrong

As far as car magazines go, all ive scene is mods towards the '03 model... which is cool

two $20 oil catch cans.
Barney,

I see you have two catch cans.

Is the second one run from your crankcase vent to the intake?

I was thinking the same thing, if that is the case, but I was having trouble with how, since the intake and the vent almost touch.(there is only 1/4 of an inch between them.)

?

Mine seems to be holding good with little to no kinking at all. I've been meaning to stop by Auto Zone and pick up a cap/plug for the CAI and run the hose from the valve cover to the OCC on the PCV valve line, this will eliminate the 2nd OCC and clean up the look under the hood as well as simplifying it. This should also completely eliminate the kinking from the two hoses having to overlap each other. Whenever I get this done I will take pics of it, but here is a current pic of my 2 OCC set up (one is on the passenger side attached to the bottom of the A/C lines and the other is on the drivers side right below the blue rubber hose connecting the two CAI pipes, both OCC's have a blue top):
