O.K. I finaly got some time after work and I installed the "catch can" on my goat. It was pretty easy as all I had to do was copy what RR did on his from the pic he posted took all of 25 minutes, it would have taken half that time if I didnt have to drink two beers while explaining to my neighbour why I am trying to collect oil that was going to the exhaust! lol he now thinks I am a Jane Fonda follower trying to save the world from carcinogins...
O.k. the zip ties worked real well as you can hopefuly see in the pic. So I bought a couple so that when you show me how to place the roots blower on I will be prepared! [8D]
Thanks a million for the tip guys!

Regards,
Napoli

Yup, looks like you did a good job. Your can is a little different than mine (my can top is blue) but you have the same hose and connections....here's mine. BTW, you probably just added a couple of years worth of life to your engine, not to mention improved performance and less maintenance.....[sm=smiley20.gif]

Thanks guys.
I am used to having lots of room but heck theres not enough room to swing a cat by its tail in there! everything is so tight I almost had to put oil on my "Sears" oil can (I took the label off lol!) to get in there.... Probably a little late to ask but whats my dealer going to say when he see's this mod? i.e. warranty etc...?

At any rate I watched the Tuner Performance show last night that I downloaded and I noticed they said they existing Turbo in the SRT is good for a max of about 300hp is that true? I mean its not bad eventualy my goal is the 300hp mark as that is more than enough to polish 95% of the cars I see daily to work and back.

Napoli

The dealer might try to say that it will void your warranty, but no modification by itself can void the vehicles warranty. They have to prove that the mods you did are a direct cause for the malfunction/problem. Example: If your PCM goes bad and you have a CAI there is no possible way that a CAI can cause a PCM to go bad and therefore they have to replace it under the warranty. But if your car has a connecting rod bend and you have a CAI and you drove it into a deep puddle and it sucked up water into the engine, then your screwed because then that is a direct cause for it bend a rod and then it is not covered under the warranty.

There are plenty out there with over 300 horsepower with the stock turbo.

O.k. the trick is take it off prior to servicing etc...
What still puzling is that Mopar has not realised this to be an issue with turbo's and did not include this in their designs.
At any rate its easy to take off and put back on the car till first year of service is over. After that I will be servicing the car my self unless God forbid it has a major issue.

Napoli
P's I will try and post pictures of my challengers on the forum today.

No need to take if off prior to going to the dealer. I've taken my car in three times for oil changes and for the BOV install and nobody said a word other than one of the oil change guys saying he had to get one of those (OCC) on his turbo...if anything, the dealer may give you better service and more respect since they KNOW you go that extra mile to take care of your SRT-4......[sm=smiley20.gif]

Thanks Dusty,
I will try my luck and see if they fret. Like many of you I got one of those saving books with my purchase to use for oil changes at discount rates etc. Essentialy if they are smart like your saying they should be happier as theoreticly they will be seeing less of me :-)

O.k. now I need to figure the Avtar out....

Napoli

Assuming you want to continue using synthetic oil after the sythetic Mobil 1 factory fill, you may have to take your own sythetic oil to the dealer (unless you want to pay their inflated price). They were going to put in regular dino oil in mine (and not a good brand) before I stopped them and insisted they use my Mobil 1 that was in a box on the passenger's seat!!!!
