I have to say guys , I'm a 82 GT Mustang owner... Sometimes I'm ashamed about being one because of the punks that talk **** and only put on flowmasters or nos, or whatever else they think is cool... BUT , I've met alot of people who are like that and drive Dodge , Chev , Buick , it comes with all makes... It was said before that punks rich parents buy them the cars, WELL , I'm 26 , not rich , and I've worked hard to get the stuff I have for my car. I own a Blown 82 Gt Mustang and I've done all the work to it myself from top to bottom , and it has paid off as it does 11's ... The best thing about it is , my friends have chev, old mopars , and some ricers.. And when there is something wrong or something I'm unsure of or even when they have questions or problems , WE HELP EACHOTHER.... Thats the fun in owning a beefed up car or (ricer ) ... It's fun to talk **** with friends but leave it to the track... I'll race anyone who drives anything !!!! On the Track !! you cant put a 11' sec mustang against a 13 sec chev !!! thats what bracket racing is for... SO .. you see guys , not all mustang owners are ******** , just like all mopar guys arent... Its been fun guys but Ive said enough.. keep burning those tires and killing Honda's and what ever else jap crap is out there...

i have met mustang people who are tolerable..hell, we even have a long time member on here to now has a GT, and isnt the "Typical" mustang owner, but at the same time, we do have others here who own stangs, who are every bit of what i call them.

i met a guy last year back home with a copper fox body...twin turbo...running low 11s...the car looked pretty stock, until he got moving...i asked him a question about it and his reply was "i dont know...i got this car cheap because someone owed me money...im only racing this until i have enough money to sell it and finish my hemi road runner"..

 

LMAO , See those guys are ********, lol, I like mustangs and all cars in general (except honda's ect...) the guy your talking about is a prime example that would give ANY make of car owners a bad name... I find it funny that ricers think there the best.. Old mopar , old ford , old chev , we set the bar.. I have no respect for people who take there cars to shops to get mods, and poor out tons of money and then brag... okay some mods you have to take to shops , but come on people , get alittle dirty and have some pride... Dodge and Ford for me till the end.... see you guys later....

 

Im another not so "typical" mustang owner, I have an 89 LX, it has been in my family since my grandpa bought brand new. granted it only had a 4 banger it was still alot of fun to drive! I wanted to drop a v-8 into it, but it wasnt worth the money. Sooner or later ill get another one and cruise around in that.




BTW-im no rich punk, like most other stang owners!

I want a new Shelby Mustang. I am not rich, nor do I have rich parents. I do, however, plan on working hard, working overtime, and saving up so I can get one someday. I do not want to stop at mini-vans at stoplights and rev my 475hp blown 330cid V-8 at them, and I do not want to race them. I want to cruise around the country with my girlfriend. I want to take it to the drag strip every month. That's it. For daily driving, I have an old Chevy 4x4 truck. My dream car is a bright red '69 Superbee with a Hemi, 4-on-the-floor, and a black vinyl top and black bumblebee stripe.

I agree with most of that. Their should be less domestic rivalry and a joint effort made against the imports, they're the true enemy as they are taking over in a major way. The big three has not been the three American automakers for years now and may now only have one left in it. The American automakers are still fighting each other and it shows in their advertising, meanwhile the Japanese automakers are fighting the American automakers without resistance of any kind from them.

As far as the stereotyping goes, if the majority didn't fit the stereotypes it wouldn't be an issue. The only way to change or eliminate a stereotype is for the majority, which is the stereotype, to change the way they are and not be just like the negative stereotype they created for themselves in the first place.

i own a 97 GT with a paxton novi 1000 i know im not the fastest thing on the road and in fact ill admit to getting beat by 4 cylinders, it doesnt matter what u have done to ur car, someone else has something faster... and i dont see why alot of the mustang owners think their **** dont stink, same with camaro's id rather be in my stang beside an srt4 rather than beside a mustang because they are so full of themselves, i realize some srts can beat me, ill admit it... shame on some of the stangers around
