Thanks Bargeman for the picture.

Heyyou, I think this would be a great sticky candidate. Maybe more people will see it and put some more pics in.

I forgot to get pics of the one I pulled apart right after christmas. The gasket was blown most of the way out in 2 spots, but wasn't leaking. The motor had 220,000 on it. It's on its way to becoming a 408 now

No problem. This is one thing I can actually contribute to this forum. And about that 408...."there is no replacement for displacement"

I will when I finally get the chance to do it. I had most of what I needed, but the package containing the replacement aluminum plate didn't come in until late Saturday afternoon and the weather had turned by that point. I'll wait for it to get a bit warmer and then I'll get it fixed up!

I'll eventually be doing ours. Probably not until summer, it seems to run fine. I want to fix the plenum, do the kegger mod, water pump, and timing chain. I'll have to read more about the catch can. It has almost 148,000 on it. I know pics or it didn't happen!

Was tinkering in my shop and found the plenum plate from the 408 donor. The truck had around 220,000 miles when I bought it. Drove it home and parked it for spare parts because it was worn out.

Currently waiting on take returns for me to get my license back then if I have left over I'm gonna knock out everything wrong with my truck. Till then its one thing at a time lmao
