Default One low beam out

I have a 99 ram 1500 5.9l. The drivers side low beam went out. Swapped out bulbs and the 15 amp headlight fuses and didn't see any relays. Any suggestions on what I can check next?. Everthing works except the drivers side low beam

Do you have two, or four headlamps?

Two headlamps. The headlight bulb has a red, purple with a white stripe and I believe the third wire is solid purple.

Violet with white stripe should be hot when the low beams are on. Headlight switch provides power via the multi-function switch. The wiring diagram is kinda strange though..... and it appears that the right headlamp gets power from somewhere else..... Grab the 98 service manual from here. Have a look at page 8W50-2

Thanks for your replies. Just went out and took some readings and at no time was there power to the violet with white stripe wire on either side. When I used a test light the purple had power when lights were off on low beams and on high beams on both sides but none of the other wires had power. I then measured the voltage and this is what I got. Passenger side- off, red 9 violet stripe 0 purple 12.2 on low beam red 9 violet stripe 0 purple 12 on high beams red .04 violet stripe 0 purple 12. The driver side had identical readings so I dont understand why the low beam wouldn't work

I've tried 2 new bulbs and swapped out the passenger side bulb that worked fine into the drivers side and no low beam on that side?

Why would there be no change from the off position to the low beam position? From what I can tell the violet and white wire is the ground but should be low beam? I bought the truck in 2002 and havent made any changes to any wiring.

Could it be a bad ground? Where is the drivers side headlight grounded to the truck?
