99 Ram 2500 with 5.9 Cummins suddenly lost power, slow to accelerate, changed fuel filter, cleaned and reoiled K&N filter. Seems to be running on all 6. Could it be T
turbo, no smoke and no excess play in turbo. Crack in exhaust manifold between 3 and 4 cyl. Could the problem be with the waste gate on turbo. Help

The reason you have no power (you already said it) is because it's a Cummins... all joking aside. It could as well be the turbo, without a turbo a diesel is useless. Waste gate SHOULDN'T cause that
the stock lift pump can sound/act as its running but not supply the vp44 with atleast the minimum psi of pressure...which i always have gone by 7-10 minimum. without that, the rotor inside heats up and cracks. and that sir, would give you low power problems.
as far as aftermarket quality lift pumps, fass is a good one. another quality pump is an airdog. but bare minimum on a 2nd gen cummins 98.5-02, fuel pressure is critical. i did 835hp/1693 trq in my 01, and ive missed it ever since! ha
