HID Special $60.00 Shipped for Dodgeforum members
try it and report back to us all so we all know goblish, course this is something that the ones selling this product on here should be doing solving this ongoing problem, not the consumers. but if i had the system already i would def. be trying what ever i could to get my radio reception back to what it should be.
if they would get off their rear they may get more sales.

"So far since I've worked here with HIDeXtra.com since last August 2009, I've gotten about 15 cases on radio interference issues. This number is not enough to bring up a proposal for research and development department to find out a solution and change the ballast."
So what you are saying is, for those 15 people they are out of luck and just have to deal with the bad radio reception, or fix it themselves, while your company takes their money and says o that is an allowable amount of improperly working product.
I am sorry but that is unacceptable customer service, and wrong. When you get that problem fixed you will sell more units. That problem has cost you more then you realize. Sorry but I won't give up radio reception for HID's and I won't buy from a company that has a problem knows about it acknowledges it and says those people are acceptable losses of quality product and customer service. not knowingly.

Think about it percentage wise though...she has a point with it being less than 2% of all orders. It's the nature of the beast, just as there are other threads about things like a lump in the stitching on the leather Laramie dash. Under a certain percentage, the company can't really afford to take the time to deal with it if it's a relatively small problem. Fixes have been suggested in this thread, let's not blow this thread into another BAK-style argument. Logistically, it's not feasible to research, develop, test, and market a fix that 99% of their customers won't need. Sure, it'd be nice to have, but if that 1% have to put up with a temp fix till their numbers grow, it's a business not your next door neighbor.
I had this radio issue but didn't really expect them to do anything about it. These are low cost HID kits, its a chance you take. I took the chance and got screwed, basically burning 120 bucks.
At least I won't make the mistake again. Even without the radio issue I never thought they put out 120 dollars worth of extra light anyway, they did look cool though.
Now I have the stock lights back on, my radio works, the lights don't flicker or hum, both lights always come on, and I don't have a big hole in my headlamp for water to get in.

I am sorry but we are not talking a stitch out of place but a part that makes another part of the truck basically unusable. Sorry but no that is not an acceptable answer. Nor is it acceptable customer service. Now if they were willing to give a new set to the customer if they got one of the 2% that were bad then that would be one thing. If they were willing to eat the cost of the 2% error but I have not read anything saying that they would send out a new set till the customer got a non interfering set. Why should the customer have to eat the 2%? (which is 100% of what the customer spent with the company)
Maybe there are those that are ok with blowing 120 dollars I am not. If I want to give money away it will be to a charity not to a company.

Heck BAK has done great in my opinion. All I have seen on here is it is an acceptable amount of messed up product. We are not talking about something that just is annoying, but something that makes a part of the truck basically unusable. Not unless you like listening to the radio with static.
I mean if it was a flicker or that sure they seem to want to work with you and resolve it with resistors or caps. or what have you but this problem they seem to be saying that it is not worth their time to do anything that the customer should be the one to eat the loss. Or to figure out the fix.
That would be like Dodge saying hey your motor is blown and it is because of this part but your truck is the only truck that has ever broke that part so we are not going to worry bout fixing it or even trying to fix it. Would that be acceptable. Does not matter that we are talking 25000 vs 120 dollars. point being the same it would still be poor customer service.

I do think one of these days I will try the both the tin foil and the grounding trick, dought it will do anything but hey low, high beams and fogs thats 160 dollars plus same set up in my dads truck same radio static with the lights on. i don't really want to throw a total of $320 dollas away or just not have radio. LIVE AND LEARN
I have had my lows and fogs installed for about 5 months and thought it was normal or just cause to have some static or whatever. Is there a fix for this??? I would love to know cause I have had not one issue with the kits I bought. Just the fm static when on.
