Thanks for getting that run through. I'm still concerned that the lights will no longer match, or that I may get a non-matching bulb (seemed to be a recurring issue through the thread), but I will snip the wire and take a chance with it. What's the usual shipping time for a replacement bulb?

Hi MrCrash,
We will send out one bulb as the mismatch problem tends to be on the blue color. We realize the importance of consistency and are working closely with factory on this. Shipping time is looking at 5-7 business days. Thank you!

I got my lights installed. They arrived in 3 days, nice quick shipping. Everything was correct, bulbs, capacitors. Install was pretty easy all plug and play. No flicker and I'm happy. I ordered 6k bulbs becuase I wanted white light, these are nearly purple when they first come on, then blue as they warm for a couple minutes and then brilliant white.

Did everyone drill a hole in the dust cap in the headlight assembly? I didnt and left the dust caps off but it looks like I got condensation/water in my passenger headlight now. If you did drill, what size did you use and through the cap or the back of the headlight itself? Thanks

I did, per the instructions. I ended up with condensation on one side anyway. Not happy! Problem is, now this isn't a warranty issue so I have to figure out how to fix it myself.

Interesting, I'll have to take it out and try to get the water out... You could I suppose buy new dust caps, they cant be expensive and remove the hid's, install new caps and take it to the dealer. That could be more of a hassle than just getting the water out though.

Also, one of my lights seems whiter than the rest. All of them look far more blue than I thought 6k was supposed to be. Has anyone been pulled over for the blue tint?

I took everything back apart to reattach the ballasts with real tape after I found 1 nearly falling off yesterday. I also drilled the dust caps and reinstalled them to attempt to keep the water out... I drained the water out of my headlight assemblys. I left it in the garage for a while and kept the high beams on for heat to try to dry the condensation. It worked after an hour or so but this morning the condensation is right back. Not happy...

Aside from the condensation in my lights I cannot say anything bad about these light kits. Although mine have only been in for a week and a half.

The HIDEXTRA kits come with capacitors that plug inline between the ballast and light. If you order from them make sure to put the vehicle make/model in the comment section so they can send out the necessary capacitor.

A few days after I installed my lights when I turned on my fog lights my TPMS light would come on, then shut off. This morning I lost TPMS on my passenger rear tire and the message "service tire pressure system" came up on the EVIC... I'm really hoping they arent related..........
