My Turbo Build.
Is there anything special you had to do with the code, to use the negative coil wire? What program are you using to tune the MS? I'm trying to convert my Jeep over to MS-II, one of the problems I have is how to mount a trigger wheel, and it looks like you got around that problem. Thanks.
Nope, nothing special, just set it for Fuel only and splice the ignition wire into the negative coil wire, set the number of cylinders in the engine constants and you're done (barring any noise problems like I'm having).
Are you still having the "noise" problem?
If you have the ignition wire(pin#24) on the negative coil wire, aren't you just grounding it out and not getting any kind of signal? Or if you are getting some kind of signal, wouldn't you be getting 4 signals (for a 4 stroke) for every revolution of the engine? If you used a trigger wheel on the crankshaft you would only be getting 1 signal for every revolution of the engine.
I'm still trying to figure this MS-II for myself. I read through the manual and I didn't see anything on using the negative coil wire as the signal for the ignition. Where did you find that, if you don't mind me asking.

I fixed the problem, I was tapping into the wire after it came out of the MSD BTM instead of the wire that goes into the BTM.
Coil- is a real common way of using MS, don't know why you can't find anything on it. You can only do a single coil control if you trigger this way and it's only accurate for retarding timing, I'm simply running fuel only and letting the BTM retard timing. If you want to have full control over ignition you need a trigger wheel(s).

It's fairly close to stoich right now but the goal is around 15.5:1 cruising when all said and done.
MPGs are down a bit but that last tanks it was on the rich side and with a lot of idling and tuning, this current tank is looking pretty good MPG wise.
