Default So what are you doing?

Today I did some minor work.

I finally got the O2 bung on the last MagnaFlow Y-pipe for a 87 Dakota (they show 87-89, but it has the 87 pre-cat and no O2 bungs like 88 and 89 had) so I'm about ready to swap the exhaust. Two years later ...

Everything else is ready, save I can't find the manifold/Y pipe bolts.

I also got my task chair in the house fixed ... had to replace the lift cylinder which had failed with age.

Doesn't help that I weigh about 360 lbs ... even if it's rated for 500 lbs.

Catching up on some Youtube, mostly. Deboss Garage just unveiled the Int'l Quarantine Car Show since everything else is cancelled this year, so I'm hoping to get something finished so I can put in an entry. I'll probably enter my 1983 Honda Magna 750 since there's NO way I'm going to get a transmission, transfer case, and rear end pulled from the 99 and installed in the Blue Bastard by April 25th.

We just got DUMPED with over a foot of nasty, wet, heavy snow and cause massive damage around the state. Most people have been without power since Thursday evening and aren't expected to get it back until later tonight, and that's at the absolute earliest. I ended up going out Friday morning and shaking a bunch of our trees off so I wouldn't have to deal with any more broken limbs.

I trimmed the branches I could get to from my neighbors spite tree and my oak. I'm slowly weeding the garden getting ready for last frost so I can plant the veggies I want to grow.

We "sheltered in place" for a tornado warning/tornado watch here.

Nothing here, except more dead limbs out of the oak tree in the front yard.

Over 12,000 without power in my area; I'm not one of them.

Two cakes cooked for Easter Dinner; ham in the oven; going to do smashed taters and probably some green beans also. Maybe whole kernel corn, not sure yet.

Stepson, his wife, and the two grandkids will be back for that (they sheltered in our brick house during the warnings/watch since they live in a trailer).

I'm sitting in front of my computer. I was fitting a new radio in one of my trucks but I had advertised an old home made trailer on CL for $250 and was swamped with calls. In 3 hours, 35 calls and 5 e-mails before I cancelled the ad after selling it.

Yesterday I ordered up two decks and two sets of speakers for both of my trucks. Crutchfield is still running the 50% off JVC speakers if you buy a deck. I really didn't need to spend almost $300, but until the mud dries up a bit I'll need something to do. That 12-18" of snow we got here in Maine has practically all melted now, and on top of that it's raining. We're expecting winds of up to 55 mph tonight, and most people in the state are still without power as it is :/

I've got to jet outside and pick up a few things. The last bout of wind we got pulled the hood up on my '87 Polaris and put a crack in it. Grrrrr.

Here's hoping that Ralph and any of our other members living in the path of recent storms have ridden them out whole in mind and body if not in property.
