Yeah 93 ragtop sent me a link to a video explaining that, already have the parts in my rockauto cart lol. Just now need to dig around and find a regulator that can actually bring 50psi down to 6psi which sounds like a load of fun. So many regulators are listed as 0-150psi in the product name but when you read the description it’s talking about the gauge.

Could throw a TBI fuel pump module in there, that would dramatically broaden your selection of regulators that would work.... Don't know if the mounting changed from 91 to 92 though....

So I should look for just the pump module specifically and then just swap it into the 92 assembly so I have the return?

The 91 and earlier pump module should have the port for the return line. Will it mount to the newer tank though? That, I am not sure.

Ill put in some photos here as well, but if I need the module with a return, but I have a module with a return from the 92, why would it have a return, be externally regulated, but be MPI?

92 pump originally on the truck

External regulator with return line

MPFI fuel rail

Wow. I have never seen one of those..... The pump likely pushes 40 psi or so.... Would need a pretty serious regulator to dial that down to carb levels.

Yeah I know one that’s $300 but like I said, I’d rather not spend that much on a regulator, so hopefully someone here can chime in on something they’ve done or know of being done before.

Holley makes some that supposedly will take FI inlet pressures.... but, I cannot find the spec for max pressure... Might wanna give 'em a call, and see what they have to say. They have some nice ones for right around 100 bucks.

Yeah I was looking at those on summit, the question/answer thing has people saying they run them on 60psi EFI pumps down to like 6psi for the carb, so tomorrow if I remember I’ll give them a call to confirm, but $80 is better than $320 lol. I also just need to figure out how I can run the throttle cable I just thought about that too, not much comes up for useful information when I google it.

Going back to this message from a couple weeks ago but wanted to check with what you mean again. Some people say to completely dry the crank before installing the seal, and leaving the mating surface completely dry or it will leak. But you're saying to put grease on the mating surface. Conflicting info here lol. I do have 2 seals so I guess I can try both, but ideally I'd like to have a spare.
