Are the axle tubes the same diameter?

I would be tempted to try and sell the axle anyway, just let any potential buyer know the shock mounts were cut off. You may find someone that doesn't care, and get more for it than just the scrap price.

I have found the front link bar bracket's home. They are tacked in place at the moment. Measured every which way until Sunday. I am happy with their location.

I'm laying out the 4 link bracket positions. This rear axle assembly still needs to come apart a little farther. I am going to crack the pumpkin, clean it all out, inspect it, and hopefully just add new gear oil. The outer axle seals will get replaced, and the parking and main brakes rebuilt.

I am currently hunting down some coil over shocks for the rear. Once I have those, the upper mounts will need to be fabricated and welded in. Then I will be able to remove the leaf springs and frame brackets, drop the Dakota rear axle, and start to assemble the new suspension system.

Axle seals for sure. Once I inspect the inside, we will see. I was hoping to run this one as is, but depending on the condition of the limited slip, it may get a locker.
