I never did a lot of MIG outside MOS training. Honestly can't think of one time I did it in the field until I bought this 110 amp unit to fix the exhaust. That said the shielding gas or bad spots in the wire spool would be my guess. That is a tight spot could just be the angle you had to go at it from.
Yesterday morning I sold the two front wheels that didn't fit. Tomorrow I have a guy coming to my shop to mount and balance the finish wheels for this beast. Since I have never liked the LS look of the coil packs on top of the valve covers, I went ahead and ordered some billet coil pack covers. A bit spendy, but it will make me happier with the look. I will show them off after I receive them and get them installed.
Items still needed:
Driveshaft
Brake pedal/master cylinder
Oil cooler
Trans cooler
Exhaust system
The new tires got mounted and balanced this morning. I am liking how they look! I can't mount the rear wheels until I finish putting together the 5 lug Ford 8.8.
I never have cared too much for the look of the individual coil packs on the valve covers. So I decided to get some coil pack covers. The two piece valve covers the hide the coil packs are just too spendy for my budget, so I opted for these. They are made from 1/4" thick aluminum, anodized black, with ball end milled slots. Me likey!!!
