Hey moparman, i dont know if you already bought the belltech shackles but i bought some from autozone off the shelf for like 37 bucks after tax and they were the right size. no need for spacers/washers etc.

they are lowering shackles for most but lift shackles for us D's. i've been using these shackles for a while and they holding up fine

heres some info off the box.

the brand is SUPERIOR AUTOMOTIVE

NO. 13-4100
"REAR LOWERING SHACKLE"

Its a red and blue box (mostly red)

found the link! you can see them in my sig picture.

Yeah not a problem. They fit just fine on my durango. and they are pretty good quality. this is also a good time to change out some bolts if you wanted to do.

yeah, glad i can help. Also Hydra did ask for the part number a while ago. i had just forgot to get it up here. so hopefully hydra see's it as well.

The only part of this that worries me now is actually getting the stuff taken apart. I read the "How To" thread but I don't learn well by reading, I gotta see pictures. Something about greasing up a part or something a long those lines? I probably should read the thread again.

Idk I guess, I'll figure out real quick what I need to do when I take it apart.

its really not that bad. just take your hitch off, jack the rear end up. undue the bolts grease them properly and than put the new shackles in and bolt it back together. its basically replacing the shackle.s just go take a look at how your shackles are bolted and just think if you had to take them off and put new ones on what would you do?

and cranking the t bolts is simple as well. i'm sure whatever shop will do your alignment will also just crank your bolts 8 full turns for free. its simple man. maybe theres a how to video somewhere?

Oh I wasn't confused on the Tbar adjustments. I just want to make sure I understand this completely before I start it.

I hear ya bud. I'm nervous to when i try to do things. I am more so because until not to long ago i didn't know the first thing about cars. I'm still nervous when i do work on my durango. guess thats just how you learn though, right?

Good luck man. once you get going and know fully what you need to do than it shouldn't take very long.

So hear i am feeling bad i never got the shackles part number to hydra from when i did my lift and hear i find he already new about this part from 2 years ago from a previous thread about the lift!

As i'm reading through this thread, it seems Hydra was a lot more friendly 2 years ago lol not seeing as many jokes and a lot more "good job, glad you figured it out" haha
