Default Torsion Key and Shackles to lift a D

Hi Guys me again

So I already have a 3" Body lift now id like to get another 2"
My qustions are
The Torsion Key's
Like these http://phoenix.backpage.com/AutoPart...Ad?oid=1953185

Do they add a couple inches?
And if so how difficult are they to install?
And I know that the shackle lifts will get about 2"
Id love to get a Rancho Lift kit but they are way outa my current price range.

The other idea I had was skip the Shackle lift and put in an ADD-A-Leaf

Any thoughts or ideas and info is greatly appreciated

Thanks guys

Chad

Re-indexed torsion keys are just like throttlebody spacers, useless. Just crank up your current torsion bolts 8 full revolutions. As for the shackle/add a leaf etc that decision is up to you. I chose belltech 6400 shackle.

Hi Durango,
I am pretty much agree with the comment given by Duranged. But instead of 8 full revolutions, 3 to 4 revolutions will do a lot but remember after doing this drive your vehicle few feet front and back so that it will help the the suspension to fix in better position.

Regards,
Razor

Now it's 4 turns per inch for a total of 8 full turns. Now remember that you need to start from OEM height at 78mm lower from wheel center to torsion centering marking point on the front end. Then install the Belltech 6400 shackle. Then a 4 wheel alignment to reset the front end camber.

I know this will sound stupid, but where exactly do I need to look to do the torsion lift?

you just turn the torsion bar adjusting bolts 8 turns for 2 inches of lift in the front, and get 2 inch lift shackles for the rear

Follow your torsion bars back to the transmission crossmember and there's 2 big bolts sticking out around there, one for each side, you can't miss them. Those are the ones you have to turn but do as hydra said and start off at 78mm just to be sure you don't over crank the bars and damage anything.

Basically you're all set on raising your front end, don't have to buy/add anything there just crank up the torsion bars 8 turns on each side. On the rear just install the shackles on your leaf springs and you're all set.

As a reference they are located directly under the driver and passenger seats. You can't miss them.
