Which sensor is this?
I have a 2001 Durango 5.9 2wd.
I found what appears to be trans fluid in the connector to the sensor that is connected to the bracket with the throttle cable. Driver side, front. Is this likely to be just a bad sensor seal, or was it possibly caused by a fault in the trans itself?
Thanks, Gas.

Just took a couple of pics a few minutes ago, as a matter of fact.

I was afraid of that.
It will shift right the first time. Then it wants to shift into 2nd at around 30 mph. It will not shift out of 2nd into 3rd unless I put it in neutral for 5 seconds or so and then give it enough gas to match rpm. If I don't give it gas, sometimes it will go into 3rd and sometimes it will go back into 2nd for several second, drag my speed down, then shift into 3rd. The 3rd to 4th shift is fine. A lot of the time, it wants to start in 2nd from a light, unless I go into neutral. It will downshift to pass with no problems. It is not slipping. At very light throttle, it will very rarely hunt between 1st and 2nd.

Fluid level is good. I checked it per the directions in the manual and it's fine. No burnt smell or discoloration, either.
I have a couple of questions about the throttle cable being out of adjustment. If it's so badly out that the 2-3 shift never happens, would that also preclude the 3-4 shift from happening? As it is, my 3-4 shift has no problems. Also, how do they get out of adjustment to begin with, and do they go from working perfectly to something as bad as this with no intermediate stage? Mine was fine one day, and garbage the next.
