those pics that he posted dont show the carrier, which is what i would like to see to make the call, the LS carrier is more square while the open carrier is tapered (away from the ring gear)

This is a Limited Slip. You can see the clutch packs behind the spider gears. Now your photos are out of focus so it makes it VERY hard to tell but the second photo: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...c-lok-lsd.html

I looked at the pictures on the thread shrps posted, it is exactly what I have. My pictures weren't very clear. Hopefully this one is better. You can see the other gear (for lack of better term) to the left of the ring gear. That is only present with the lsd that I see in the pictures.

see the carrier in hydras post, how its a cylinder with nice squared off ends on it? those squared off ends indicate that it is Limited Slip, yours has a taper, afaik that idicates you have an open diff

ok I see, that sucks I would have really liked to have had a lsd. Thanks to all you guys for your advice, input, and patience with me.

np man, we are here to help and sometimes that means explaining stuff so that its properly understood. This was an easy example of that, we have seen many people who just think they know it all and wont listen to us, THAT we hate, this we dont mind.
