I might go the junk yard, and check for a switch, just in case. Not too crazy about paying $105 for a new one. Guess I'll try the switch first, then check the resistor and blower motor after that.

Thanks for the replys.

Well, the switch was bad. I was able to get another one from the junk yard for $8. Well worth the trip.

Not going back to the beginning of this thread to check... but an $8 solution for a 14 page thread? WTF?!

I looking for a resistor wireing kit along with a new resistor. Does anyone have any part numbers for these two things. I did read somewhere that there is a better built resistor I would like to have that part number, along with the heavy duty wire harness, Thanks

To be honest I would go to salvage yard for wiring harness. Shouldnt be more than about $20. Dealer resistors run about $15 you can find them on eBay for about the same but when you add shipping it comes out more. If you get the salvage yard harness just follow the wire. Cut as far up against the fire wall as possible that way you have extra wire. Inspect wire harness closely to make sure you dont have the same damage you are trying to repair. Also you maybe able to find Dakota as donor...the wiring harness is the same but verify. After that it is a matter of matching and splicing the wires.

Got kind of a different issue, got a 99 and what's going on is all my speeds work, however, what I'm having problems with is no matter which setting I have it on, the air comes out of the defroster vents and not the dash... rear works fine, it's just the front... any ideas?? It's startin to get too hot here in AZ to not have the AC blowin.
