Curious, why buy new Index Keys when the stock keys will crank you right up to the bumpstop?
Seems like a waste of money to buy something you already have.
What's the purpose?
People do it all the time and it just baffles me.

During the install I'll get some pics. I am disappointed in the quality of the weld from BellTech on these. damn I aint certified, but I have not seen porosity like this in a weld from a factory job, ever. I think it's a solid weld just butt ugly. I'll take pics of them and add them with the install pics for ya's to check out.

As far as out of your comfort zone, sometimes your comfort zone needs an attitude adjustment. Do you want to be able to say I did that or my buddy did that . I understand some things are not for everybody and actually respect the fact that you know your limits. There are some folks who don't and the next guy who buys their screw up gets the grief of fixing it. I'm adding photos from photobucket due to the attachment file size, I'll re add the before photo here as well from my previous post. BEFORE T/S LIFT

I do have a weld cert and I can tell you that was welded without enough shielding gas. The weld is most likely porous all through. I personally would send it back but it would probably be ok.

At the very least I'd send that back to the 1st year apprentice and make him grind it out and redo it.
Completely unacceptable on a suspension component.
Or any part for that matter.
Send that pic to BellTech.
Be interesting to know what they say about it.

I'd be worried if I was towing with that kind of weld holding up my rear end. But I'm not a professional welder, I've got an old Lincoln 225 arc welder and a little mig welder, and I can weld a better looking weld than that with a stick any day of the week.

Where did you get those again, I don't recall who you bought them from and the brand.

They are Belltech 6400 brackets and I bought them from Summit Racing. I will be sending both an email today.

Emails are away, let's see where this goes. I'll take my money back and keep the brackets, and re-weld them myself.

Damn that was fast.

BellTech's response:

Hello Leonard,

Thank you for contacting Belltech Sport Trucks, I apologize for the quality in the shackles you received and we do not want that to represent our company. If you could please supply me with your original invoice I will gladly send you out a replacement set of shackles that have a higher quality weld then what you have received.

If you have anymore questions please let me know.

response number 2:

Leonard,

Can you please verify that the shipping address on your invoice will be where this shipment will go?
