Summit Racings response: ( Way less then desirable.)

Leonard,

Thank you for your e-mail.

I'm sorry those were below standard quality. We can take them back for a refund. The quickest way to get a new set would be to order them and send the bad set back for a refund. Just follow the below instructions to return the bad ones.

There was more to the email but it was basic return policy mumbo jumbo. LOL I think I'll stick with BellTech directly, as I'm not buying another set and waiting for the bad ones to be returned for a refund.

Got my new shackles today and on the packing slip/pick order there was a note that the guy who emailed me back wanted to personally inspect them before they were packaged up for shipment.

The welds are nice and clean, and the powder coat isn't all chipped like the others were. ( A condition I forgot to mention as well )

BellTech is the real deal ,especially when they will go out to make a customer happy for a set of shackles, that cost 60 bucks from Summit.

As far as out of your comfort zone, sometimes your comfort zone needs an attitude adjustment. Do you want to be able to say I did that or my buddy did that . I understand some things are not for everybody and actually respect the fact that you know your limits. There are some folks who don't and the next guy who buys their screw up gets the grief of fixing it. I'm adding photos from photobucket due to the attachment file size, I'll re add the before photo here as well from my previous post. BEFORE T/S LIFT

Any chance to take a comparable side shot with the mods done?

I see have the plow on there now.

Also curious to see what the "frame attachment" looks like for the plow.

What size tire do you have on there? Stock or up-sized?

Why is this less desirable? Summit Racing is only a third party vendor, they didn't make the welds. They were willing to take the old ones back and send you another pair. Isn't that what parts shops do?

gvsu I haven't finished the mod yet, but will post pics.

MoparMan It was less then desireable because they wanted me to pay for another set and wait for a refund. I paid for a good pair of shackles, and expected to get a good pair. If you bought from a parts store a bad part you return it for a good one with oput taking on a added charge for the good one right? It's all good BellTech stood by their product and sent new ones that day.

Should be able to copy pic and zoom in. The subframe attaches to the front frame rails with three bolts each side, and then has a mount off the center that bolts directly to the frame cross member right in front of the engine. Clean and as the pic shows plenty of ground clearance. This pic is with the new 265/75/16 Kenda Klever KR29's installed, but still just the front mod done, not the shackles. Waiting for some good weather then I can install the new shocks, brakes and the shackles. Got excited and couldn't wait no longer for the tires to get on..lol

Look right next to the blurry hand. That is the subframe to truck fram meeting point.

is a body lift easy enough for a DIY? I am thinking about doing one. I had someone offer me a 3 inch lift rather level and it was going to cost $480 will I save money if I do it myself?
