srt 4 swap is probably the best engine you can somewhat easily get into these cars

Personally with all the hassle involved in getting an SRT engine and making it fit perfect I'd say your better off buying an SRT Turbo and putting iton your Current DOHC engine.rather than swapping out and getting the computer and electronics to work. The DOHC will make just as much power as the SRT-4 Engine withthe SRT-4'sTurbo for a whole lot less hassle and money.

The eagle talon motor and eclipse motor will not work, the head is "backwards", meaning the intake manifold is on the back of the motor and the exhaust manifold is on the front. If you want to build something up, either stick with your current motor or get a 2.4 liter out of a stratus or pt cruiser.

well see now i would put a turbo on it, but my engine has 150,000 miles on it, and with that many miles on it, i wouldnt want to put a turbo on it, i dont want to put an srt-4 engine in it because like he has that it would be too much of a hastle and stuff, i'd rather mess with the electronics and everything since i already took out the A,C. i dont have power windows and all have really for elec. is dashboard cd player, speakers and normal headlights and tail lights. the rest of the little things that go with the engine arent a big deal, i already had to put new harness's everywhere from when it blew a head gasket on the origonal gasket that it had when i bought it.

I would go with a 2.4 out of a stratus or something and just build it up. Oh and for turbo's you can take a look at this website.. it has a lot of good information and a lot of options turbo wise www.hahnracecraft.com
